Our Programs and Initiatives

Award Recognition

What A Fan introduced the What A Fan Awards in 2013, the worlds first and only award recognition specifically created to honor fans dedication and contributions to sports. The event was launched in Orlando Florida at the Orange County Convention Center. Sports fans are represented by all major league and collegiate sports and honored by celebrity athlete presenters. The inaugural event was long overdue for deserving fans who have been an vital part of the sports industries explosive growth. The event has recognized the countries most passionate and devoted fans in all genres of sports. The event is now in Los Angeles and will celebrate its five year anniversary in July, 2017.

Charity Programs

Over the years we have built strong relationships with sports fans that are compassionate about community service. What A Fan Charities was established initially to assist fans in their efforts to better serve their communities through our contacts, ideas and resources. Through the efforts of our executive team and some amazing sports fans we’ve been able to touch the lives of children and families across the nation. We’re proud of the support we’ve been able to provide fan clubs and individuals making a difference in their communities. In 2014 we introduced Fans Against Child Abuse, a campaign to bring more awareness to the horrific issue of abuse.

Appreciation Events

What A Fan has been implementing unique appreciation events since 2011, hosting our first at Universal City Walk Orlando. The thirteen week live online broadcast was the first time sports fans from around the country were interviewed during their favorite teams game day in real time. It was an opportunity for viewers to catch a glimpse into the lives of passionate fans of all genres. In 2013 we launched our annual Sports Fans Conference in Orlando Florida, hosting fans of all sports together in one environment. The fun filled event also provides useful informative workshops and great exhibitors. In 2016 we announced the events big move to Los Angeles California.
